I ended up at Viva Photography in Moonee Ponds quite by accident. If it wasn’t for the surprise call I received telling me I’d won a photo shoot, the door prize of the ultimate women’s weekend I’d attended a few months earlier, it would not have crossed my mind to do a shoot less than a year after I’d done one for my business. I pondered the idea and decided to do it as a gift to myself. I have long been dealing with body image issues, and as I’ve been very focused on learning to love me for me, this seemed like the perfect thing to do. I spoke on the phone with Erin, who would be my photographer, about how we could go about this. In the end, I decided to go for lingerie and nudes, anything to help me embrace my curves. When we were in the studio, she was an absolute delight, making me feel at ease, making me feel beautiful, playful, having a laugh. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised to see the photos. I am so proud of the photos I have selected; they are simply stunning! Both artistic and charming, beautiful and playful. I am very happy with the investment I have made in myself and would recommend anyone who is learning to love themselves just that little bit more to gift themselves the same experience. I can only imagine how I’ll continue to look back on this day, 10 years on… 20 years on… 30 years on… and see the images of the person I used to be. P.S. In response to some of the other reviews I have seen online, it’s important to understand that professional photography does not come cheap. Prints start at $325 and the best deals/packages will cost you several $1000’s. Consider that you are not just paying for a print of an image on a piece of paper alone; you are paying for the years of experience and training required for these phenomenal photographers to be able to create that perfect photo of you and your loved ones! Want it cheaper? Go to a less experienced and talented photographer.
